## Objectives of the Course

To inform about the basic issues of municipal / urban solid waste management (waste generation and material flow, waste composition, waste management hierarchy, etc.); Introduction to Waste Minimization / Reuse / Recycling / Recovery processes; and to teach energy recovery from municipal solid wastes through processes such as landfill (landfill gas), incineration, anaerobic digestion.
